Metal in Album Draft

Metal counts as up-tempo, so it fills the Opener. Big chart hits are rare, which makes it a strong Deep Cut pick too.

Which slots Metal fills

• The Opener (track 1): it counts as up-tempo.
• Lead Single (track 3) and The Closer (track 12) want your biggest songs, whatever the genre. 1 Metal songs qualify.
• Deep Cut (track 9) wants your smallest song. 27 Metal songs qualify.

Albums score higher when they use fewer genres and more decades, so Metal works best as one of two or three genres spread across several eras. How scoring works.
